The Competition is open to all young singers aged 17 – 28 years and details for the 2022 Competition will be posted late March / early April.
The Finals of the Competition take place in August in a Finale Concert, this year on Tuesday 16 August.
First Prize is $1500, with the Runner-Up receiving $400.
The Concert is performed before an audience of Clef Music Club Members and members of the general public. It’s a gala occasion for us and audience members also have the opportunity to make their own judgement with a non-monetary “Audience Choice” prize going to the contestant voted as most popular among audience members.

Our 2021 Competition took place on the very eve of the August lockdown, so was impacted by the last-minute withdrawal of some contestants.
However, it was nevertheless a successful and enjoyable evening.
